Validation Preparation

Validation Preparation

The EMERALD project aims at streamlining the audit process for continuous compliance. The work package 5 performs regular checks for the internal business driven requirements. The next step is the validation of the audit workflows with the EMERALD framework.

In order to make sure everything is on track for the stage gate process, which tracks the pilot’s progress and audit set up, a parallel track is done to verify the functionality of the UI and it’s underlying EMERALD components. Therefore, a list of essential functions is prepared alongside a questionnaire and user interviews. The validation participants will be asked to perform a set of tasks in the UI and provide comments along the way. The “thinking aloud” will be documented for our internal validation report. The results can be used to provide direct feedback to the component developers and improvements for future exploitation, to further optimise the continuous compliance experience.

The outline for the next period consists of, but is not limited to the following steps:

  • Prioritise EMERALD UI features
  • Select a list of essential work processes
  • Invite internal experts to perform the validation steps
  • Conduct thinking aloud workshops
  • Document the results and recommendations
